There are many types of bras in the world, so many that we can never wear them all! But we will eventually come across quite a few in our lives, and will want to try them out for ourselves. In this article, we will be exploring what bras suit certain necklines or certain tops, so that you can bring your look to the next level! A tube top is essentially a shoulderless, sleeve article of clothing that wraps around the torso. Also known as a “boob tube†in the UK,it’s generally tight over the breasts and has elastic bands on the top and bottom to prevent it from slipping. For tops like these, the best type of bras to pair them with are strapless bras and stick-on bras, since they don’t have straps that could potentially ruin the look.Â
This top is sleeveless and you can wear it on its own or over a shirt. They can be close fitting or loose fitting, and you can wear it at home or outside. While most bras are compatible with this top, the best would be to get a t-shirt bra for a smooth and hidden look, or even a bralette for comfort.Â
A t-shirt is a casual type of clothing, usually made from cotton and has short sleeves, and when you place it down flat it looks like a T shape. A t-shirt bra was specially designed for t-shirts, as most ladies like to wear t-shirts that hug their bodies. Since t-shirt bras are specially made to stay hidden even through a tight t-shirt, this makes the t-shirt bra most suitable to pair with t-shirts.Â
Also called pullover or jumper, a sweatshirt is basically a loose sweater with long sleeves made from cotton. It covers the upper part of the body and is worn for exercising or leisurewear. Depending on the time you wear it, you could need different bras. If you’re wearing it when it’s warm, it would be a good idea to wear cool, wicking bras made from thin cotton or mesh that keep the air circulation happening so you don’t feel too hot. If you’re wearing it when it’s cold, then you should wear warmer, thicker bras made from cotton and has multiple layers or more padded bras for a warmer experience. If you’re wearing it to go exercising, you should opt for a sports bra or bras with good support. Since a sweatshirt is thick and loose, you can wear lined or thick bras without a problem.
A sweetheart neckline looks like a heart, and it has a slight gore in the centre. The shape of the bra would be best if it were a plunge bra, so that it can hide within the top and give cleavage, or even a push up bra if the gore is not too deep.
One of the common necklines. It is shaped like a v and can be shallow or deep in the gore. Plunge bras are suitable with this top, but balconette bras and push up bras work too if the gore is not too deep.
A square neckline is, as the name implies, square in shape. It has a flat gore and is not very deep. Balcony bras or balconette bras are the best option to pair with them, as they are designed to be straight so they will stay hidden in the top.Â
The gore of a deep neckline is very deep, sometimes even reaching the stomach area. For outfits like these, you could try transparent stick up bras, or if you are bold you can try wearing a cage bra to enhance the look. Plunge bras with a deep plunge work too.Â
